“I started selling arepas and ended up selling empanadas because in the course of my work I realized that while one person eats one arepa, another eats three or four empanadas, I found more acceptance in this product. ” says Colombian Francisco Javier Moreno, who has lived in the United States for 35 years and owns PAPAREPA, a company based in Miami – Florida.
100% corn empanadas, without preservatives and cooked in the company's plant, are the products that sell the most at Paparepa, which was born as a business in 2012 and was formalized in 2015.
“We have three types of empanadas: Colombian, Venezuelan and Argentine, and all three are made with Maquiempanadas machinery,” says Francisco Javier.
The company sells frozen empanadas, ready to fry at home.
Advice for entrepreneurs
“My message is to blindly believe in what you do, do it from the heart and never stop working, always give your all. Perseverance achieves whatever you want. Like the saying: he who perseveres achieves,” says the Colombian.
